Scope of Position

The role of an Assistant Food and Beverage Manger is actively engaged in all the aspects of the daily operation of: Aura Restaurant, Tamo Bistro and Bar, Room Service, Private Dining Areas, Action Kitchen & Seaport Café. Productively partners with their culinary counterparts to provide our guests with a memorable dining experience. Is passionate about providing exceptional guest service and provides an exciting, energetic, fun, and professional place to work. Models the company’s core values based on the belief that our team members should engage in being attentive, thoughtful, and act independently in a responsible manner. 

 

Schedule Requirements

Schedule flexibility is required. The schedule will vary based on the needs of the business. Working evenings, weekends and holidays will be a regular part of this position.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing line staff
  • Managing the operation in line with the financial budget
  • Executing strong operational standards
  • Ensuring a robust up-selling program in all areas
  • Partners with the kitchen to insure delivery times and maximize product quality   
  • Enforces and follows-up on standards that insure an efficient, clean, and safe working environment.        
  • Provides our guests with memorable dining experiences
  • Exhibits trust, respect, accountability, commitment and passion
  • Maintains daily managers log
  • Accurately processes the gratuities for the employees
  • Manages the employee’s schedule which includes all the necessary support documentation
  • Manages the schedule on a daily basis and adjusting staffing levels as the business dictates
  • Ensures we are in compliance with all food, health, safety, and liquor licensing laws and permits.
  • Responsible for practicing, managing and promoting the company Vision, Mission and Purpose so that it becomes an intricate part of the everyday operation 
  • Completes any duties or projects assigned by the Management.

 

Required Job Knowledge and Skills

  • Possess strong relationship skills
  • A driven individual whose strives to achieve departmental goals.
  • Possess a passion for food & beverage and a strong desire for development.
  • Knowledge of front of the house operations including foods, beverages, supervisory aspects, service techniques and guest interaction
  • Experience in POS systems, preferably MICROS
  • Ability to work with computers, specifically experience with EXCEL & Word
  • Committed to delivering a high level of customer service.
  • Excellent grooming standards

  • Good communication skills

 

Qualifications

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of food and beverage experience
  • Minimum 1 year in supervisor level position

 

Education:

  • College degree or equivalent work experience

 

Language Skills:

  • Fluency of the English language is required (read, write, speak)
  • Must be able to listen to, read and/or write instructions, memos, short correspondences and messages.
