2nd Shift Trainee Technician (Personal Care)

Title: Trainee Technician

Reports to: Manufacturing Supervisor

Department: Operations Personal Care/Skin Care Manufacturing)

Supervises: N/A

Organizational Relationships:

Work with senior level technicians in manufacturing.

Basic Function:

Understand and follow GMP’s or general cleaning procedures in assigned area.

Responsibilities:

1. Verify all raw materials necessary to manufacture a batch.
2. Disassemble, sanitize, and reassemble any equipment in assigned area (mixers, grinders, etc.)
3. Clean and sanitize manufacturing tanks according to Standard Operating Procedures.
4. Fill out any log or records regarding sanitization of equipment in assigned department.
5. Load / fill a manufacturing tank according to the batch record.
6. Fill out batch cards correctly checking raw material control, expiry date, lot and batch numbers of each ingredient.
7. Drain product into containers and weigh.
8. Must have working knowledge of compliance with G.M.P.’s, environmental, safety, and quality control procedures in the performance of job duties.
9. Assist a Technician in basic manufacturing procedures.
10. Performs other related tasks as may be assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications:

1. High School or equivalency diploma preferred.
2. Entry level position.
3. Knowledge of G.M.P.’s, environmental, safety, and quality control procedures.
4. Perform basic mathematical and conversion functions.
5. Basic computer literacy.
6. Good communication and organizational skills.
7. Able to lift up to 60 pounds.
