SUMMARY: As part of a leading global aerospace distributor, this position is part of a Supply Chain and Planning team responsible for supplier long term agreements, contract negotiations, and overall relationships, as well as analyzing inventory and sales together to develop key metrics and strategies that will maximize profitability and inventory health while meeting customer needs and supplier contractual requirements. It will require a detail-oriented self-starter with exceptional Business Intelligence, supplier management, and analytical skills.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Negotiation and business development of long-term agreements with multiple suppliers and/or manufacturers.
    • Relationship establishment and ongoing management of multiple suppliers and/or manufacturers, providing data, business reviews, audits, etc as requested or needed.
    •  
    • Analysis will show associated metrics, KPIs, trending, cost control, comparison, what-if queries, etc.
    • Decision making authority to meet/exceed internal goals, i.e., constantly looking for margin improvement opportunities.
    • Development and execution of inventory strategy in accordance with company policy to maintain/increase inventory health.
    • Modeling and analysis of potential new product lines and inventory investments.
    • Identify, assess, and develop new revenue and profit growth opportunities.
    • Lead cross-functional reviews and communicate to internal/external stakeholders at business review meetings or as needed.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (INCLUDES EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, COMPETENCIES), ETC.):

      • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field of study.
      • 6-7 years of relevant/technical work experience OR
      •  
      • Proficient in MS Office suite, strong Excel skills and experience with Microsoft PowerBI or another BI tool
      • Statistical Analysis and Modeling experience / coursework
      • Team oriented, resourceful and fast learner.
      • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with managing multiple priorities.
      • Proficient critical thinking and analytical skills
      • Professional / interpersonal verbal & written communication skills
      • Polished, professional presence with exemplary communication skills
      • Advanced negotiation skills
      • Effective time management, able to identify and prioritize tasks necessary to meet long and short-term objectives.
      • Fluent in English

     

    PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS (INCLUDES PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, COMPETENCIES), ETC.):

      •  
      • Master’s degree
      • 8-9 years of purchasing and/or business analysis work experience.
      • Expert knowledge of PowerBI or another related Business Intelligence tool
      • Knowledge of Component Control Quantum

     

    OTHER(INCLUDE LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, SECURITY CLEARANCE, TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS, ETC.):

    • The selected applicant will be subject to a background check and drug testing.
    • The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §
      120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
