HCM Engineer
Job Title: HCM Engineer
Responsibilities:
⦁ Will focus on strategic and complex Dayforce projects to optimize and refine processes as necessary.
⦁ Be fully versed on new and/or enhanced functionality in each product release. Develop, implement, and deliver user training as required.
⦁ Document best practices, share with teams the Practice and provide status on progress of activities and deliverables
⦁ Drive HCM processes and make recommendations for improvements via the use of technology; specifications, development, and implementation of new or redesigned systems, reports, and procedures for HR application users to ensure efficient business processes and continuous improvement.
⦁ Lead the design and execution of dashboards, reports and scorecards that deliver and process critical data to support growth targets and value.
⦁ Works with the IT application team(s) to define integration standards & methods to ensure technical architecture alignment, data security and compliance requirements.
⦁ Expertise with data conversion tools such as MS Excel preferred.
⦁ Work within a structured team environment and be able to work alone.
⦁ Subject matter expert for the Dayforce HCM suite of tools and provides in-depth analysis and recommends solutions to business problems related to supported services.
⦁ Will work as part of a software development team for Finance (including Payroll and Benefits), IT and HR (including Recruiting and Onboarding).
Knowledge and Skills
⦁ 7+ years of HRIS/HCM experience; Ceridian Dayforce required.
⦁ 5+ years of Payroll, WFM (time/attendance), Benefits, HR, Recruiting and Onboarding
⦁ Strong Project Management and leadership ability required.
⦁ PMP, CPP, and/or PHR certifications preferred.
⦁ Knowledge of HR/Recruiting/Onboarding/Payroll/Benefits/WFM products; experience with Dayforce HCM.
⦁ Functional, analytical, and critical thinking ability, excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
⦁ Ability to recognize complex problems, analyze situations and provide suggested implemented resolutions.
⦁ Ability to compare large data sets, organize data and summarize findings.
⦁ Experience interacting directly with clients, preferably in a managed services or large, high volume multi-state/multi-national environment in Payroll, Benefits or HR Operations.
⦁ Must have strong organizational skills, time management skills with multi-tasking ability, strong customer focus, and the ability to work independently and in a team and be dependable.
⦁ Ability to facilitate meetings effectively, setting clear goals and expectations, and documenting discussions and next steps.
⦁ Ability to work at a fast pace; must have a strong sense of urgency.
⦁ Ability to resolve highly complex and maintain confidentiality throughout the process - internal and external.
⦁ A history of managing multiple projects at once and meeting multiple deliverables.
⦁ Experience in transferring knowledge to others (coaching & mentoring).
⦁ Strong team-play skills, especially in high-pressure, fluid situations.
⦁ Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and experience tracking information. Advanced expertise in Excel would be preferred.
⦁ Have enthusiasm, a strong work ethic, and optimistic attitude.
