The role of the HR Operations Specialist is crucial in providing unwavering support to our organization's team members and leaders. The HR Operations Specialist is a reliable source of information for all Human Resources-related concerns, including those about payroll, benefits, and recruiting processes. Additionally, they assist in developing, documenting, communicating, and updating people-related processes across the organization. This position plays a vital role in supporting the welcoming and onboarding of new team members. They also administer various recognition, benefits, and safety-related initiatives and programs to ensure the smooth functioning of the organization.

Starting pay $20 per hour (or more based on experience)

Job Duties:

  • Support semi-monthly payroll processing and balancing.
  • Enter and maintain accurate employee records for new, current, and terminated employees. 
  • Support Workers’ Compensation and safety administration.
  • Assist with research and developing people-related processing best practices for the HR team and people-related processes involving team members and leaders across the organization. 
  • Generate enthusiasm, promote, and educate team members on total rewards.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and identify potential areas of opportunity or risk with respect to compliance, HR quality improvement, and payroll.
  • Track and audit onboarding data to ensure all new hires have completed key forms, processes, and tasks.

Experience and Education:

 

  • Associate degree in business administration or human resources or equivalent work experience required. 
  • 2+ years of experience in a professional office setting required.
  • Strong passion for technology and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneNote, SharePoint, etc.), and project management software.
  • Pro-active, self-driven individual with strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
