Position Summary and Responsibilities:

The purpose of the On-Premise Sales Representative position is to establish relationships with customers and potential customers resulting in an increase in the sales volume of products offered by Ben E. Keith through establishing new accounts while increasing sales in existing accounts located in their assigned territory. The primary duty of this position is to sell the full line of products to retail accounts. This position will also track and record product distribution and manage accounts' inventory. This position focuses on increasing volume, brand building, and share growth.

· Build healthy business relationships and establish good communication with our retail customers.

· Work collaboratively with customer to establish their needs and design solutions that fulfill them.

· Leverage relationships with accounts to sell in new brands.

· Engage in regular call frequency on assigned retail accounts to sell product, gain distribution, merchandise, and stock product. It is important to sell the full line of products carried by Ben E. Keith and follow up with “Class B” Wholesalers to ensure sell through of Spirits to On-Premise retailers.

· Promote Ben E. Keith brands at retail through promotions, consumer education and merchandising.

· Execute all company goals to enhance the sales, distribution, shelf space, display coverage, tap share, and merchandising of all brands carried by Ben E. Keith.

· Execute placement of signage and other merchandising material to ensure maximum brand visibility in all assigned retail accounts; maintain the "Look of the Leader".

· Identify merchandising opportunities at account and make recommendations to customer.

· Regularly replace merchandising material at customer accounts to coincide with marketing programs and/or POCM Calendar.

· Ensure maximum visibility of Ben E. Keith products at account (singles bins, tap position, backbar etc.) and that products are priced appropriately.

· Utilize available sales tools such as:

o ABI Locations: M360, iDig Reports, Big Tin Can, LOLA, Brand Builder and sales content from MS Teams, and the

Barker file to sell in the full line of Ben E. Keith Beverage products.

o Specialty: VIP Sales, iDig Reports, Brand Builder and sales content from MS Teams, and the Barker file to sell i the full line of Ben E. Keith Beverage products.

· Maintain designated back stock area at customer location; ensure area is organized and free of trash.

· Maintain product freshness standards in assigned retail accounts by monitoring and rotating stock regularly.

· Remain aware of all Ben E. Keith product offerings and the individual value they provide.

· If appropriate, present on-line sales portal VIP information (BEES if ABI Location) to retailers. (Discussion with your supervisor is recommended.)

· Regularly monitor inventory to ensure proper stock levels and rotation in all “market partitions”.

· Attend scheduled meetings (morning and/or afternoon) with Area Sales Manager/Team Leader to discuss market opportunities: attend other meetings as required.

· Communicate all sales and merchandising opportunities or challenges (product placements, out of stocks, out of code), as well as any competitive activity, to Area Sales Manager/Team Leader.

· Operate all company equipment safely and in a manner consistent with company policy.

· Ensure company equipment is in safe, working condition; report any incidents or unsafe conditions to supervisor.

· Maintain, keep clean and have assigned company vehicle business ready.

· Complete required surveys (for example: number of Ben E. Keith retail displays compared to competition) to gauge internal results versus competition. · Assist with special event activity in assigned territory. · Project a friendly, professional image at-all-times. · Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

· Able to coordinate multiple activities and follow through with commitments.

· Good oral and written communication skills and participate well in a team environment.

· Must be highly motivated and results oriented, with a strong attention to detail.

· Must be organized with the ability to handle multiple priorities.

· Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and understand trade math.

· Must be able to read and write English.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and Teams).

· Ability to learn and use relevant internal computer applications.

· Excellent performance in previous BEK career path positions.

· Must be 18 yrs. or older to apply.

· Must have a valid Texas driver’s license with clean driving record.

· Basic computer skills including the use of an iPad preferred.

· Ability to learn and effectively monitor inventory and create orders that ensure adequate inventories and increase sales.

· Physical endurance, you may need to be on your feet for long hours and spend time traveling between locations and carry heavy products.

· Strong understanding of beverage industry landscape.

· Strong understanding of retail environment.

· Bachelor's degree or its equivalent preferred but not required.

 

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to perform the essential job functions consistent safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.

· Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.

· Ability to move products weighing up to 165 lbs., stoop, kneel, crouch, talk and hear.
