Job Description

 

Pregis Corporation, a leading global provider of innovative packaging solutions seeks a Sales Account Manager for its PolyMask Protective film business. The geographical territory for this position is the states of VA, NC, SC, TN, and KY. The ideal candidate will be located near Charlotte or Greensboro NC, Greenville SC, or Nashville TN. Travel required is approximately 25-50% depending on the location of the candidate. Account managers are supported by an Inside Sales Representative who handles the smaller customers so account managers can target larger strategic opportunities.

 

Reporting to the National Sales Manager, the Account Manager will be responsible for driving new business through a combination of selling to End Users, Converters and our Distributor Network; effectively managing the established book of business by facilitating positive, growth-oriented relationships; sales strategy development; and sales forecasting. The critical focus is on new business development within an established territory, maximizing sales volume growth consistent with overall business profit margin performance while emphasizing the PolyMask product lines as a competitive advantage.

Desired Skills and Experience

 

The successful candidate will possess an impressive track record of prospecting new accounts and new business; highly effective negotiation and communication skills; a capacity to prepare and present compelling sales materials; and a passion to execute at each available opportunity.  Manufacturing or distribution sales experience in the paper or plastics packaging industry is desired.  Minimum of 3 - 5 years sales experience required.

  • Experience and demonstrated success managing and closing technical sales
  • Highly competitive and a strong desire to succeed
  • Lead Generation:  Skilled at identifying target customers and gaining access to key decision makers
  • Collaboration Skills:  Leveraging sales team, marketing team, product development team and channel partners effectively to achieve sales targets
  • Negotiation & Persuasion skills:  Ability to negotiate large deals with C-Suite contacts and middle management contacts alike
  • Project Management Skills:  Ability to manage complex sales process while leveraging internal and external resources to drive sales execution
  • Research & Strategy:  Ability to effectively identify an adequate number of prospects and develop robust strategies to close them
  • Experience selling pressure sensitive adhesives, tapes, and/or films in the metals, automotive, construction, industrial and fabricating markets.
  • Business Intelligence:  A robust understanding of Key Market Verticals including distribution channels, industry trends, product needs, and competitive landscape
  • Computer Skills:  Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM Platforms, SAP C4C, and other internal information systems
