Job Title:  Sports Associate - Part-Time 
Branch: Kennett Area YMCA
Location: Kennett Square, PA
Shifts/Availability: Evenings and Weekends
Starting Pay: $12.00- $14.00/ hour

The YMCA of Greater Brandywine (YGBW), an association of eight YMCAs serving Chester County, is a non-profit organization committed to nurturing the potential of every child, promoting healthy living and fostering social responsibility through life-changing programs for all. 

Position Purpose: The Kennett Area YMCA is looking for an enthusiastic Sports Associate to plan, organize and deliver value-driven sports programs to participants in accordance with YMCA goals and objectives. 

Responsibilities: 
Plan, organize and lead sports activities and games for all participants 
Lead with enthusiasm and positive motivation  
Organize and maintain program records including, but not limited to:  attendance records, rosters, etc.
Manage all equipment 
Maintain a clean and risk-free environment 
Ensurthe safety and well-being of all participants and that all children are picked up by parent/guardian 
Communicate positively and accurately with all the parents/guardians of participants 
Promote other YMCA programs with participants and parents/guardians 
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor 

Qualifications:
 
Must be 15 years of age or older 
Prior knowledge and at least 1 year of experience in sports 
Demonstrate ability to develop and teach skills 
Demonstrate the ability to relate and positively interact with children and adults 
Ability to effectively use technology for programmatic needs
