Job Title:  Senior Director, Human Resources (hybrid)

Branch: YMCA of Greater Brandywine Association Office

Location: West Chester, PA Shifts/Availability: Full-Time, Exempt

Salary Range: $105,000 to $116,000 per year

About the YMCA of Greater Brandywine: 

The YMCA of Greater Brandywine (YGBW), an association of eight YMCAs serving Chester County, is a non-profit organization committed to nurturing the potential of every child, promoting healthy living and fostering social responsibility through life-changing programs for all.  Position Purpose:  

Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, the Senior Director of Human Resources will take a lead role in employee relations, performance management, onboarding, training, policy development, HR BP improvement, compliance and employee engagement.

There is one direct report, a non-exempt HR Coordinator.

Responsibilities: 

 

Employee Relations

  • Triage, manage and resolve all employee relation issues and employee policy violations across the organization
  • Equitably administer constructive discipline across the Association
  • Develop training programs directly related to ER trends
  • Develop "Best Practice" HR policies supporting the Employee Experience and business requirements

Performance Management

  • Manage the annual performance management process including manager and employee training for self-assessment, competency assessment and development of SMART goals
Onboarding
  • Manage onboarding process for efficiency and compliance
HR Business Process Improvement
  • Partner with CHRO, VP Operations, Exec Directors and HRIS Analyst to optimize HR Technology
Compliance
  • Ensure all HR documentation/reporting is compliant, eg I9s

Employee Engagement

  • Manage employee satisfaction surveys
  • Coordinate and support the implementation of action plans resulting from staff satisfaction surveys.
  • Conduct exit and stay interviews as needed
  • Develop retention tools and implement with field operators
  • Lead and implement the Celebration of Excellence
  • Manage the Employee Assistance Fund in conjunction with the Finance Team

Complete other duties as required by the Chief Human Resources Officer

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources; Organizational Development. Master’s preferred
  • 10 years’ professional HR work experience, preferably in a large organization with exposure to Best Practices in HR
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of the above job requirements
  • HR certification/coursework preferred (SHRM)
  • Strong HRIS; HR analytics utilization,
  • Proficient in Microsoft business software, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in employee investigatory processes and procedures
  • Ability to work with integrity, discretion and a professional approach
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Must be detail oriented and have excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently, effectively problem solve, and always maintain confidentiality
  • Display a positive and professional attitude and possess strong interpersonal skills
  • Obtain and maintain all new hire certifications and trainings within 90 days of hire
