Job Title:  Program Instructor P/T – Hourly I 

Branch: Upper Main Line YMCA

Location: Berwyn, PA 

Shifts/Availability: Hours include Monday through Thursday 4-8pm and Sunday afternoon
Staring Pay: $15.00/ hour  

 

About the YMCA of Greater Brandywine: 

The YMCA of Greater Brandywine (YGBW), an association of eight YMCAs serving Chester County, is a non-profit organization committed to nurturing the potential of every child, promoting healthy living and fostering social responsibility through life-changing programs for all. 
 

Position Purpose: The Upper Main Line YMCA Performing Arts Department seeks Theater Instructors to assist with weekly play rehearsals. 
 

Responsibilities: 

  • Plan, organize and lead youth activities for all participants 

  • Lead with enthusiasm and positive motivation  

  • Organize and maintain program records including, but not limited to:  attendance records, rosters, etc 

  • Manage all equipment 

  • Maintain a clean and risk-free environment 

  • Ensurthe safety and well-being of all participants and that all children are picked up by parent/guardian 

  • Communicate positively and accurately with all the parents/guardians of participants 

  • Promote other YMCA programs with participants and parents/guardians 

  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor 
     

Qualifications: 

  • Prior knowledge and minimum 2-years experience in program area. 

  • Demonstrate ability to develop and teach skills. 

  • Appropriate training and qualifications in the specialized instruction area. 

  • Must have high school diploma or GED 

  • Ability to effectively use technology for programmatic needs 

  • Obtain and maintain all new hire certifications and trainings within 90 days of hire
