About the YMCA of Greater Brandywine:
The YMCA of Greater Brandywine (YGBW), an association of eight YMCAs serving Chester County, is a non-profit organization committed to nurturing the potential of every child, promoting healthy living and fostering social responsibility through life-changing programs for all.
Position Purpose: The Upper Main Line YMCA is looking for an experienced individual to assume the Youth Coordinator leadership role, including administrative, programmatic and delivery of youth programs in accordance with YMCA program quality standards
Responsibilities:
Hire, train and supervise youth program staff
Plan, organize and lead youth programs
Choreograph specific activities, applicable dance company, routines, recitals and/or games for all participants with any accompanying music to a wide variety of audiences
Develop and market program promotion pieces
Coordinate any appearances, tournaments, and/or competition appearances within specialty field
Lead with enthusiasm and positive motivation
Establish, organize and maintain schedules and records including attendance records and progress reports
Instruct program participants across specialty field
Manage and maintain all equipment
Maintain a clean and risk-free environment and escalate safety/risk concerns with appropriate urgency
Communicate effectively and timely with program participants and parents
Ensure all children are picked up by parent/guardian
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
Prior knowledge and minimum 3 years of experience in program area required, 5 years preferred
At least 18 years of age or older
High School diploma or GED
Demonstrate ability to develop and teach program skills
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to use technology effectively for programmatic needs
