Job Title: Child Watch Associate

Branch: Oscar Lasko YMCA

Pay Class: Part Time

Shifts/Availability: Monday to Saturday 8 am-12 pm /Monday to Thursday 4 pm-8 pm

Starting Rate: $13.00

 

About the YMCA of Greater Brandywine: The YMCA of Greater Brandywine (YGBW), an association of eight YMCAs serving Chester County, is a non-profit organization committed to nurturing the potential of every child, promoting healthy living and fostering social responsibility through life-changing programs for all.

 

Position Purpose: The Oscar Lasko YMCA is looking for an enthusiastic Child Watch Associate to provide a safe and caring environment for children while in YMCA care. This position will focus on hosting birthday parties.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the day-to-day operations of our Child Watch area
  • Provide a safe, interactive, fun and caring environment for children in YMCA care
  • Oversee the safety and whereabouts of the children at all times
  • Maintain a clean and risk-free room arrangement
  • Maintain records, including, but not limited to accident and incident reports, sign in/out sheets
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

 

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 15 years of age or older
  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • Enjoys working with children and prior experience working with children, preferred
  • Must have the ability to interact positively with children and communicate professionally with parents
