About the YMCA of Greater Brandywine: The YMCA of Greater Brandywine (YGBW), an association of eight YMCAs serving Chester County, is a non-profit organization committed to nurturing the potential of every child, promoting healthy living and fostering social responsibility through life-changing programs for all.
 

Position Purpose:
To plan, organizing, and delivering high-quality sports training and activities tailored to camp participants, aligning with YMCA's goals and objectives. This role focuses on fostering a supportive and dynamic environment that encourages campers to develop their skills and passion for sports.

 


Responsibilities:

 

  • Plan and execute a diverse range of sports activities, drills, and games tailored to the abilities and interests of camp participants.
  • Lead activities with enthusiasm and positive motivation, fostering an environment that encourages participation and improvement.
  • Manage and care for sports equipment, ensuring it is safe and ready for use.
  • Uphold a clean, orderly, and safe environment for all activities, minimizing risks and hazards.
  • Ensures compliance with all YGBW policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

 

  • 18 years of age with high school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience teaching, or playing sports skills in a camp, school, or community setting.
  • Demonstrated advanced knowledge of sports techniques and strategies.
  • Effectively use technology for programmatic needs
