POSITION SUMMARY: 

Assists in maintaining a safe school environment by monitoring student activity in halls, building interior and exterior premises of year-round (school year & summer) outcomes-based out-of-school-time programs for elementary, middle and high school youth. The Hall Monitor is responsible for assisting and creating a positive environment, maintaining the facility, building relationships students and families and providing clerical administration support.  Program is located in a public school, community based center or Y Family Center.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Greet/sign-in visitors of the program and offer assistance by giving direction and answering questions; Daily setup and breakdown visitors table.

  • Ride Bus with students transitioning to and from program daily

  • Monitor and supervise student activity in hallways, cafeteria, restrooms, and entrance ways.

  • Escort students to proper locations as necessary.

  • Alert out of school time program site director and/or school administrative staff to potential disruptions or incidents.

  • Attend all required associate meetings.

  • When necessary, support teachers and enrichment specialist in classrooms.

  • Maintains accurate registration, attendance, and schedule records via software.  

  • Clean the cafeteria after meal time

  • Get ES supplies ready for their enrichment hour (Sports equipment, STEM, Arts and Crafts Laptops etc.

  • Attend Family Engagement events
