The Senior Coordinator leads the event, sponsorship, promotional and marketing efforts for Winstead’s Dallas and Fort Worth offices. 
 
This is a position that requires a high level of proficiency in both hands-on tactical execution and strategic planning. This individual will be an important member of our business development and marketing team and will work closely with firm leaders, attorneys and department colleagues to expand the firm’s client base and profile. 
 
Position Overview and Essential Functions
 
  • Develop, lead and support event, sponsorship, promotion and marketing activities in the Dallas & Fort Worth market that drive new business opportunities, develop and enhance relationships and increases market profile
  • Identify and build strategic relationships with high-profile, market-moving organizations and leverage them to drive branding and business development opportunities on behalf of the Dallas & Fort Worth offices and individual attorneys
  • Develop and manage the Dallas & Fort Worth market and designated attorney’s events, sponsorships and marketing plans that support revenue growth and brand awareness in concert with the firmwide industry and practice group priorities
  • Identify and manage internal and external Dallas & Fort Worth market events, sponsorships and marketing activities designed to promote the firm and foster business growth
  • Provide ongoing market research and analysis for the Dallas & Fort Worth market
  • Work with the firm’s communications team to identify promotion, PR and social media opportunities that support the profile of the firm in the Dallas & Fort Worth market
  • Assist with additional firmwide marketing projects as required
 
Specific Requirements
 
  • Experience working with partners and senior executives in a high pressure, fast-paced, client focused environment
  • Strategic, diplomatic, flexible and organized with the ability to prioritize workloads, work independently, manage multiple demands and complete tasks under time pressure 
  • Understand the legal, or similar professional service environments
  • Excellent interpersonal and listening skills
  • Process-oriented with the ability to gather and synthesize information
  • Superior organizational skills, attention to detail and excellent written and verbal skills with strong proofreading and grammar skills
  • Understand the importance of partnering with office leadership, practice and industry leaders, members of the business development team, stakeholders, vendors and internal clients in an open, collaborative, proactive and constructive manner 
  • Ability to work off-hours and travel, as required, to firm offices
  • Excellent presentation and business acumen
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Knowledge of CRM systems is a plus
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred and Military Service a plus
  • Three to five years of marketing and business development experience in law firms, professional services, investment management, private equity or venture capital firms
