SUMMARY:  The Receiving Inspector Lead is responsible for overseeing receiving of aviation components and inductions that are due for maintenance and alteration tasks on civil aviation articles in accordance with the current technical data provided in the manufacturers’ Instructions for Continued Airworthiness, Services Bulletins, service letters, Airworthiness Directives, government and industry standard practices, and other data acceptable to or approved by the FAA. 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform detailed inspections of received parts and materials to verify compliance with specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Document inspection results, discrepancies, and non-conformances accurately and promptly.
  • Provide training, guidance, and support to receiving inspection team members to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge.
  • Read and interpret internal and external customer purchase orders to identify requested work scope of components.
  • Research component history throughout ERP system.
  • Perform the Contract Review Process of components during the induction to ensure customer expectations are communicated clearly.
  • Interact with the Customer Account Leaders/Inventory team to clarify customer expectations as needed.
  • Perform preliminary detail inspection of component to identify any loose, extra, missing, or damaged parts.
  • Receive and sign for the freight from delivery services.
  • Utilize the ERP system to induct internal/external components into work.
  • Interpret component service bulletins.
  • Utilize computer skills to communicate customer expectations on the work order and traveling documentation.
  • Coordinate and induct customer furnished materials into work with the required tracking documentation and clear expectations of the detail piece parts provided.
  • Provide guidance and training for interpreting component service bulletins.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure seamless integration of inspected materials into manufacturing processes.
  • Uphold a culture of safety, quality, and professionalism in all aspects of work.
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 4+ years of receiving/relevant experience.
    • OR an additional 3 years specific work experience in lieu of degree.
  • Advanced computer operating skills.
  • Strong understanding and utilization of ERP system.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate and interact with diverse teams.
  • Have the ability to read and comprehend customer purchase orders.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • 8+ years of receiving/relevant experience in the aviation industry.
  • 6+ years of contract review experience.
  • 6+ years of ERP system operation.

OTHER:

  • The selected applicant will be subject to a background check and drug testing.
