FSE - CIWS Technician (Contingent)
SUMMARY: Seeking a Close-In Weapon Systems (CIWS) Technician (Contingent) who will work on CIWS Block 0 through Block 1B, CIWS mounts.
Candidate will work under limited supervision, have strong problem-solving skills, interpret schematics, use tech manual’s, and use knowledge to troubleshoot and repairs shipboard CIWS gun systems.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a CIWS Technician, you will be required to work on CIWS Block 0 through Block 1B CIWS mounts. You will work under limited supervision, have strong problem-solving skills, interpret schematics, use tech manual’s, and use your knowledge to troubleshoot and repairs shipboard CIWS gun systems.
Conduct Material Condition Assessment, repair and maintain shipboard CIWS systems and associated ancillary equipment.
Provide a detailed report on findings, required repair parts and recommendations.
Have the knowledge in using multi-meters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzer, and other electronic test instruments, tools, and equipment to troubleshoot, identify discrepancies and repair as required.
Provide training to the shipboard crews on the operation and maintenance on the CIWS system and associated ancillary equipment
Dependable/reliable and willing to work a flexible schedule including overtime.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (INCLUDES EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, COMPETENCIES), ETC.):
Graduate of CIWS C school or prior years of experience on the system
Prior fleet service in rating
Knowledge of rating technical manuals and references
Hold Valid Passport and Driver’s license
A citizen of the United States
Possess or could obtain a Secret Security Clearance
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Have previous FMS experience
Must be willing to travel overseas and work with Foreign Navies
Certified Master Training Specialist
The select applicant will be subject to a background check and drug testing
