REGIONAL MANAGER - HHG ORDER SOLUTIONS

Under general supervision, responsible for the effective planning and dispatching of shipments within a specific region.  Contributes to the overall effectiveness and continued development and refinement of Operations’ policies and procedures.  Focuses on improving the sales, hauling, quality, and service of agents within an assigned region.  Acts as a performance and compliance coach and as an advocate for agents.  Works closely in support and in conjunction with the Regional Sales Managers in assessing long term approaches that benefit the agencies.  Focuses on improving the skills and knowledge of both subordinates and agency personnel to achieve better agent effectiveness and greater agent profits.  Continues to find ways to improve the quality of services provided by agents to the shippers/customers, other agents, and Headquarters.  Monitors agents’ performance, compared to corporate quality standards. 

 

The work location for this role is flexible if approved by UniGroup except this position may not be performed remotely from Colorado. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Conducts agency visits and evaluates compliance to the Agency Agreement.   
  • Identifies, documents, and communicates areas of non-compliance to agency and Headquarters management.   
  • Communicates expectations and dates of re-evaluation and potential consequences.   
  • Identifies areas where agencies need to improve and assists agents in improving planning and problem resolution.   
  • Identifies internal and external Headquarters resources to service agents’ needs.   
  • Recognizes outstanding agents.  Provides assistance in resolving difficult problems and communicates as necessary with drivers.   
  • Coordinates and oversees the activities of and motivates, trains, and directs the staff to achieve outstanding results.   
  • Evaluates the performance of and assists in the professional growth and development of subordinates.   
  • Provides assistance in the preparation of the budget and maintains appropriate fiscal controls.   
  • Provides input from which pricing decisions are made.   
  • Communicates with legal counsel on matters of importance.   
  • Enforces and ensures compliance with Headquarters and Federal/State policies and regulations.   
  • Develops initiatives and recommends policy and procedure improvements.   
  • Performs a variety of other duties as assigned.   

Qualifications: 

Education, License or Certification:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience.  

Experience:  

  • 6-8 years experience in transportation experience
