The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith-based organization, has a job opening for a Divisional Benefits Coordinator for the Georgia Divisional Headquarters, located in Norcross, GA.

** This is a hybrid position allowing for virtual working from home ** 
 
 

Job Summary

Administers, coordinates, and monitors the administration of all employee benefits program to include but not limited to: Health/Dental/Vision/Hearing insurance, pension, Basic and Group Voluntary life insurance, short term and long-term disability and other supplemental benefits such as AFLAC supplemental insurance and 403(b) plans. The Benefits Coordinator serves as a liaison to employees for information regarding benefits and conducts the new employee benefits orientation; records and updates employee enrollment and termination information; prepares, reconciles and maintains monthly insurance reports. The incumbent produces, prepares and manages a variety of reports and projects, one of which is specifically the compliance with the Affordable Care Act.
 
 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of the general practices and procedures of human resource management. Knowledge of advanced Excel. Knowledge of Human Capital Management systems and reporting. Knowledge of general office practices and procedures. Knowledge of effective and efficient record keeping and bookkeeping practices and procedures. Knowledge of basic mathematics. Ability to learn and become proficient in specific computer software utilized by the department. Ability to maintain efficient and organized filing systems to ensure that the items can be retrieved in a timely manner. Ability to answer the telephone in a courteous and tactful manner.
 
 

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in Business Administration or related field; And Two years’ experience working in the human resource/benefits administration field; Or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
 
 

Licenses and Certifications

Valid Driver’s License
 
 

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, writes, and communicates the English language. Ability to perform mathematical calculations. Ability to sort documents alphabetically and numerically. Ability to type and keypunch information into a computer. Ability to operate and answer the telephone. Work is performed in a normal office environment where there is little, or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
