Sorting Room Worker - Thrift Store Part-Time

Location:  Corpus Christi – Thrift Store         

Position Type:     Part-Time – 29 hours a week

Pay Range:  Starting at $9.50/hour          

About this opportunity:

This position is responsible for Receiving, sorting, pricing and preparing donated items for display in the store; determines suitability and pricing of items based on established standards; assists in maintaining the orderliness and cleanliness of the store and sorting room area.

Key responsibilities:

• Receiving, Inspecting, and Sorting Donated items.
• Sorting Room Orderliness and Cleanliness
• Other Job Duties that may be Required for the Operations of the Thrift Store

What we are looking for in you:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• And one year of experience working in a warehouse preferred
• Or any equivalent combination of training and experience providing the required knowledge, skills and abilities

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Ability to meet attendance requirements.   Ability to read, write and communicate the English language effectively.  Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, and some climbing. Duties are usually performed standing.  Standing may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of sitting. Moderate physical effort required associated with sitting, walking, standing, lifting, bending, reaching, twisting, pushing, pulling, and carrying light to heavy  objects (up to 50 lbs.). Working Conditions: Work is performed in a normal warehouse environment where there are physical discomforts associated with changed in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
