Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing program.
  • Active State of Rhode Island Registered Nurse License
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
  • Able to perform assigned tasks and responsibilities in caring for patients across the lifespan.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One or more years nursing experience, new RN graduates will be considered.
  • Bilingual
  • Experience in an Ambulatory Health Care setting.

Physical Effort/ Environment

  • This role is onsite.
  • Moderate physical activity, walking, standing, stooping, and occasional lifting.
  • Potential exposure to blood-borne pathogens, biohazardous materials, and infectious diseases.
  • Manual dexterity required for injections, immunizations, computer use, etc.

Work Schedule Demands:

  • Primarily Monday – Friday, with some flexibility and at the discretion of site nursing leadership.

Communication Skills:

  • Have sensitivity to the patient population we serve, by identifying cultural, social, and economic characteristics. Applies verbal and non-verbal communication skills in patient interactions and utilizes teach-back, active listening, written materials, and visual aids.
  • Able to document clearly, competently, and concisely in the medical record. Ability to maintain confidentiality of information and communicate in a professional manner with patients, families, other staff, and outside contacts
