Position summary:

The Digital Gift Officer will conduct personal outreach with their assigned portfolio to build a pipeline of future leadership giving donors. The officer will use a variety of systems and tools to qualify and cultivate a broad base of individuals.

 

The Digital Gift Officer will be expected to:

  • Manage and build relationships with a portfolio of 500 prospects and generate 100-150 touchpoints per month
    • Establish a regular cadence of communication touchpoints using a variety of digital channels including social media platforms, email, text and video
  • Oversee the project management of digital outreach and communications, including web portals, newsletters, emails, social media, and event invitations and materials. [Slate and other communications platforms]
  • Provide logistical support by building and maintaining forms, events, and related communications in Slate for advancement-related activities
  • Become an expert in the engagement and giving opportunities across the school to customize experiences and opportunities for individual prospects
  • Make donor referrals to the major gift officer or director of advancement, as appropriate
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create opportunities for donors to connect with areas of the school that align with their philanthropic interests
  • Attend a variety of events throughout the year. Regular travel and occasional night and weekend work are required
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned

  • Creative approach to strategically marketing to members of an assigned portfolio, at mass and at a one-to-one level.
  • Curiosity about the role and embracing innovative approaches to fundraising
  • Ability to inspire and share stories of impact verbally and through visual mediums
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships and actively contribute as a member of working teams to achieve results.
  • Ability to work independently, problem-solve, take initiative, set priorities and handle multiple projects efficiently and effectively.
  • Optimism, perseverance, a positive attitude, and a sense of humor

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  •  Three to five years of sales or fundraising experience. Ability to understand the needs and interests of alumni and donors in order to develop relationships between them and the School. Excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated record of completing assignments.
  • Competency with Google applications, and Slate and Raiser’s Edge (or similar CRMs)
  •  Must be willing to travel.

 

Work environment

Remote work is possible for this postion. This job operates in a professional office environment with a mixture of guests/visitors including young students/parents and professionals. This role routinely uses standard office equipment including a computer, photocopier/fax and filing cabinet.
