Schedule: Monday thru Friday 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM


 

Position Summary:

 

The Sewing Associate II will sew seats, backs, arms, for seating and lounge furniture for the Education and Healthcare market using an Industrial Sewing Machine.

 

  • Utilize Industrial Sewing machine
  • Secondary sew trainer on sewing product
  • Operator can sew all product in both double & single needle
  • Make repairs and adjustments
  • Re-cut parts manually
  • Skilled at providing recommendations on new product pattern development
  • Skilled at communicating process and pattern improvements with NPD and MFG engineering
  • Inspects material and finished products to ensure that they meet customer specifications
  • Set up and change overs

   

 

Position Requirements:

 

  • Hand-Eye coordination is critical
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Regular lifting and maneuvering and positioning of components up to 25 pounds
  • Requires reaching, pulling and stretching of fabric
  • Requires full shift of standing, sitting, walking, bending and lifting
  • Able to read, write and follow instructions, both written and verbal
  • Additional duties as assigned Able to assist in training employees
  • 5-S audits and daily cleaning    
  • Ensures a safe working environment by conforming to all safety guidelines including, but not limited to, wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE)

 

 

 

Experience and Knowledge Required:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred 
  • Previous Industrial Sewing experience required
  • Previous Manufacturing Experience preferred
