   POSITION SUMMARY:

The Home Care Resident Care Assistant provides basic care, assures a safe environment, and provides emotional and psychological support to residents.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:

2. Provide the necessary personal assistance and activities of daily living (ADL) for residents in accordance with their care plan. Personal and ADL assistance includes bathing, oral care, skin and nail care, hand washing, grooming, shaving, dressing, bed making, and trash removal.
3. Medication reminders.
4. Assist with toileting.
5. Assist with meal service delivery.
6. Observe resident’s conditions and report changes and observations to wellness staff.
7. Complete all documentation.
8. Keep current with required annual training.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

High school degree or GED equivalent.

Experience:

Experience in the health care field.

Skills:

Highly committed to resident care and has strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Able to speak, read, and understand English at a 12^th grade level or higher.

Licensures and Certifications:

CNA if applicable
