Ross Video powers video production for billions of global viewers daily with the industry’s widest range of smart production solutions. We are looking for an experienced, strategic, legal professional to join our team in the newly created role of Associate General Counsel.

 

As Associate General Counsel, you will advise and guide the organization on contract law and negotiations, IP law and regulatory securities law and disclosures, assist the General Counsel in creating formalized office practices and support the organization in various legal matters. The successful candidate is a team player with a strong ability to communicate and deal effectively with colleagues at all levels of the corporation, including Executive Leaders, senior sales and marketing and R&D staff and Board members.

What the job is all about:

  • In conjunction with the General Counsel, oversee corporate governance matters for Ross Video Limited and its global subsidiaries.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with customers, suppliers, partners, and other third parties, including NDAs, RFPs, Supply Agreements, Sales Agreements, IP agreements, and M&A documents.
  • Prepare regulatory disclosures and documents in a public company environment
  • Assist with the administration of our employee stock option plan and related matters
  • Implement and manage a legal document management system and ensure proper document management and retention.
  • Support litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution involving the corporation and its affiliates.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations in a public company.
  • In conjunction with the General Counsel manage interaction with outside counsel globally.
  • Monitor and assess legal developments and trends that may impact the corporation’s business and operations.
  • Handle any other legal matters or special projects as assigned by the General Counsel and CFO

Who you are:

  • JD (LL.B) along with a relevant undergraduate degree.
  • 5-10 years of experience as an in-house lawyer preferably in a public company.
  • Experience with  Intellectual Property in the technology sector would be advantageous.
  • Excellent communication, drafting, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with legal documentation control software.
