Business Manager - Recycling

Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to serve as the commercial leader responsible for growth and optimization of the scrap and recycled products business. The position is responsible for the total gross margin, volume, and growth of the individual product lines across all RHA businesses. This position will serve as the key commercial decision maker in terms of maximizing returns at the RHA level while concurrently delivering optimized volume utilization within Ravago and supporting the sales growth objectives of the respective channels. This function will work closely with sales channel management, manufacturing management, and the financial accounting team within Ravago to reach these objectives.

 

Areas of Responsibility / Tasks  

Performance must reflect appropriate level of expertise and achievement of the desired results for the items listed below:

 

  1. Essential Functions:
  1. Manage plant scrap inventory (aging, allocation, pricing, customer optimization, material optimization)
  2. Manage plant scrap supplier/customer relationships (travel).
  3. Growth of Ravago Recycling brokerage business (new supply, new customers, trading)
  4. Growth of recycle business in MX/new markets.
  5. Recycled feedstock supply purchasing/planning for RMA Baytown (PP: Regrind, Non-Woven, scrap supply)
  6. Other duties as assigned by Director of Recycling and Sustainability.
  1. Expectations:

Minimum Qualifications/ Education / Experience / Certifications

  1. Education:
  1. Bachelor's degree or related training equivalent - required.

 

  1. Experience:
  1. Min. 10-15 years related business experience.
  2. Commercial experience in sales management and/or product management.
  3. Approach the job with a high degree of integrity and transparency as he/she will have direct impact on the performance of multiple RHA divisions simultaneously.
  4. Demonstrate ability to direct strategic planning efforts for the various Ravago brands and service offerings in a highly competitive Americas marketplace.
  5. Must possess a working knowledge of financial measures within the sales divisions as well as the manufacturing division.
  6. Possess an extensive level of understand of competitive products, services, and manufacturing capability across the Americas as it relates to their respective product lines.
  7. Ability to direct cross functional teams comprised of team members from the sales channels (purchasing, accounting, sales, tech service) to various positions within the manufacturing environment (quality, planning, production, finance).
  8. Must possess excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills as well as a comfort in making decisions that will impact multiple RHA divisions simultaneously.
  9. Excellent written and verbal communication.
  10. Proficient in various software programs including Microsoft office suite, Tableau, etc. etc.

Work Environment / Conditions

Schedules may vary from week to week based on business demands in excess of 40 hours with or without notice.
