Salary:         $95,000 - $110,000

 

Program Description: 

Project Renewal’s Workforce Development (WFD) division helps individuals with histories of homelessness, substance use, mental illness, and justice involvement to prepare for, find, and retain employment. Programming includes pre-employment services, soft skills training, sector-based trainings, digital literacy, financial literacy, case management, job retention, career advancement and alumni services. Project Renewal enrolls 500 clients in WFD programs each year and consistently achieves job placement and retention outcomes that exceed the national average for programs serving similar populations.  The WFD division has an operating budget of approximately $3M comprised of multiple government contracts and private foundations.

 

Overall Responsibilities: 

The Director of Healthcare Training Programs is a new critical position in the WFD division that will initiate the development and implementation of PRI’s first healthcare training program for our client population. This position will lead all aspects of the development and implementation of this new training program and employer partnership. In addition to developing a workplan and policies for the program launch in the fall of 2024, key aspects of the job include overseeing client outreach and enrollment, job placement and retention, training curriculum and lesson plans, staff development and training, partnership development, meeting with current and potential funders, preparing reports and vouchers, designing efficient workflow processes, and ultimately achieving program goals.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The essential duties include but are not limited to the following activities:

  • Coordinate all aspects of implementation of training program.
  • Leverage current WFD resources including staff, space, and technology to ensure quality services and outcomes.
  • Work in partnership with key employer to finalize program design, expectations, policies, and training content.
  • Develop and manage the day-to-day operations of the Healthcare Training Program which includes partnership development, outreach, enrollment, case management, training, curriculum development, job development, job retention, and career advancement.
  • Coordinate with all stakeholders to develop processes and best practices, and create a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Grow and lead a team that meets the expectations of clients and funders.
  • Monitor staff performance, client progress, and contract outcomes through Salesforce. Provide strategic recommendations on program and staff design based on data metrics.
  • Oversight of daily office operations including scheduling (staff, training rooms, events, meals, etc.).
  • Coordinate with employers, internship sites, specialized training providers, and referral partners to ensure sector-based training programs meet contract goals and standards.
  • Oversee job retention and career advancement services to fulfill milestone requirements and help clients reach financial stability.
  • Prepare presentations and participate in meetings with current and potential funders.
  • Enhance program and curriculum to help clients develop their job readiness skills and prepare them for the workforce through mock interviews, application writing, resume development, sector-based training, digital literacy, and job readiness workshops.
  • Support billing, contracts, and reporting for government and foundation funding; achieving established goals.

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Proven track record of managing successful workforce development programs including developing employer partnerships.
  • Knowledge of healthcare/behavioral health industry preferred.
  • Preferred experience with start-up programs or working in programs that experienced significant growth.
  • Exceptional organizational, project and program management skills are a must.
  • Excellent presentation and writing skills required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential; good working knowledge of Salesforce database highly preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders is essential.
  • Experience with managing program budgets, writing proposals, and analyzing data is highly preferred.
