About this position: Health Center Manager 1

Under the general supervision of the Area Services Director, provides supervision to staff, oversees the proper functioning of daily operations of the health center, responsible for operations of assigned facility, including budgetary and productivity goals, and monitors compliance with health center productivity and budgetary goals, and incorporates those functions into the overall operations of the agency.

This position is located at our Evansville, IN Health Center.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supervises, trains, coaches, evaluates, and hires health center staff. Provides direct patient care; monitors quality of care and services; provides input and recommendations for planning of changes in procedures, protocols, and services; maintains efficient health center flow; maintains staff schedules; develops appointment schedules; monitors and adjusts appointment schedules for efficient health center flow and failed health center rates.
  • Provides community outreach and networks with community agencies to increase PPGNHAIK visibility and educate about PPGNHAIK services, and contributes to the team effort of the agency, thereby ensuring quality care and services for clients.
  • Maintains efficient, patient-centered health center services by organizing office operations and procedures; prepares payroll; evaluates and recommends system improvements; implements and ensures staff compliance with changes in procedures, protocols, and services; review and approves supply requisitions; assigns and monitors front and back-office functions.
  • Maintains health center staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training staff; selection of licensed medical staff done in coordination with the Director (or Assistant) Director of Clinician Services.
  • Maintains positive and productive health center staff results by monitoring, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, and appraising job results.
  • Monitors and evaluates staff job performance and initiates disciplinary action as needed, in consultation with Human Resources. Monitors and evaluates licensed staff (RN, PA, NP) in conjunction with the Director of Clinician Services or the Assistant Director of Clinician Services.
  • Monitors/audits follow up file monthly, reporting as per protocol.
  • Monitors and audits OSHA/WISHA standards ensuring compliance by all staff.
  • Serves as a resource to staff on personnel and health center operation matters; must be knowledgeable and compliant with union contract.
  • Maintains efficient health center flow by planning and implementing patient staff scheduling that minimizes patient wait times.
  • Completes operational requirements by developing patient and staff schedules, following up on work results.
  • Maintains positive staff morale and is customer focused to both internal and external customers. Plans and facilitates staff meetings with feedback from the clinician team.
  • Ensures that staff are kept informed of procedure and policy changes and other vital information regarding services or activities agency wide.
  • Monitors quality of care and services provided by staff by following QI guidelines for audits of follow-up, chart audits, and completion of laboratory compliance reports.
  • Ensures completion of all weekly, monthly, and quarterly health center reports.
  • Achieves financial objectives by scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective action.
  • Cashes out health center receipts, prepares bank deposits, and monitors and reconciles petty cash.
  • As a member of the Health Center Manager team, works closely and cooperatively with other agency departments, including the Clinical Services Leadership Team.
  • Attending meetings and training required to keep up to date regarding agency and disseminates information to staff.
  • Oversees and maintains the professional appearance and proper functioning of the site facilities.
  • Ensures that staff understands and complies with agency policies and protocols.
  • Facilitates health center operations by problem solving with staff, Area Services Director, Director (or Assistant) of Clinician Services, and all departments within administration that provide support to Clinical Services operations.
  • Provides patient care, as needed.

You’ll need to have:

  • BA/BS in related field preferred.
  • 3 years of supervisory or management training and experience required or equivalent based on increase in position responsibilities and leadership experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Patient Data software and EMR experience preferred.

Compensation: PPGNHAIK's compensation philosophy is based on equity and transparency. Starting offers are determined by both the candidate's directly applicable experience and internal equity within the pay grade.

The pay range is $58,820 to $98,033 paid annually.
