ABOUT THE ROLE
Parker Poe is seeking an attorney with 5 or more years of experience to join its robust Intellectual Property Practice Group. The ideal candidate will sit in one of our North Carolina, Georgia, or Washington, D.C. offices and have experience in U.S. and international trademark prosecution, licensing, and enforcement. This is a unique opportunity to work with a team that manages large national and international trademark portfolios, including well-known brands for clients in a variety of industries. Experience representing clients in enforcement matters in federal court and/or before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is preferred. Candidates should also possess excellent academic credentials and strong analytical, research, writing, and communication skills.

Parker Poe has extensive experience handling a full range of litigation matters, both in state and federal courts as well as in alternative dispute resolution settings, involving the intellectual property rights that are critical to the strength and success of any business venture in today's market. In addition, we counsel clients on the establishment, protection, and defense of intellectual property rights, including licenses, acquisitions, and contracts. We represent clients at all stages of litigation, from temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction hearings through discovery, trial, and appeal. We also evaluate potential intellectual property claims, advise clients on litigation prospects and risks, assist clients in achieving negotiated resolutions of disputes, and represent clients in mediation and before arbitration tribunals.
