Pay Range: $28.85 - $31.25 Per Hour DOE

 

What will you work on?

Pacific Mobile is looking for a dynamic and versatile individual to become an integral part of our construction management team. Our team is a small tightknit group of 12 people that manage $30 million worth of construction projects in Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Texas. Our projects are fast paced, and we rely on each other to complete the work.

These projects range from the placement of relocatable classrooms to full turnkey permanent modular construction projects. Your job will be to work on initial bids, job set up, commitments, change order management, project schedules, site inspections, warranty and project close out documentation. The work will sometimes include out of town and overnight stay to perform these tasks.

WITHIN THE FIRST FEW MONTHS, YOU’LL…

· Become an integral member of the Major Projects Team.

· Complete a thorough training of our division’s operational procedures.

· Be assigned to work with a Project Manager(s) and Superintendent(s) to complete construction projects.

· Learn how commercial modular structures are assembled and installed.

· Develop relationships with our vendors and customers.

· Be directly involved with the assembling of estimates/bids on various projects.

WITHIN 12 MONTHS, YOU’LL…

· Your responsibilities will grow as does your knowledge and expertise. We will provide you with opportunities to take classes, share your insights and participate in process improvement discussions.

· Participate in Major Projects yearly event. An offsite event for 2-3 days during which we celebrate the previous year, work on improvement plans, and simply have a lot of fun.

What technical knowledge will you need?

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of software (Outlook, Word, Project, Teams, and Excel)

· General knowledge of Design Software such as Blue Beam Revu.

· Understand Project plans and Specifications.

· In charge of turning in submittals from subcontractors to A/E and owner for approval for all scopes of work based of the plans and specifications.

· Coordinates project change order management, creation, negotiation between Project Manager and Owner.

· Maintain open communication between all project stakeholders and assist project team with conflict resolution between Owner, contractor and subcontractor

· High level understanding of cost coding, budget estimates, writing subcontract agreements and interpreting detailed scopes of work

· Proven ability to navigate project management software programs (SAGE 300 or Procore would be a big plus)

· Assist the project team with documenting job progress, schedule.

· Creating and distributing project closeout material, O and M manuals to owner once project is complete.

· Assist Project Accountant with monthly subcontractor billings and pay applications.

What qualifications do you need?

· 3-5 years’ experience as a project engineer or assistant PM for a general contractor.

· BS Construction Mgmt. or equivalent experience.

· OSHA 10 Hour Certification preferred

· Successfully ensure the accuracy of a project documentation from RFIs to Submittals to Change orders and close out.

· Strong communication skills, including excellent ability to identify and understand requirement of the project to the team and to participate in collaborating problem solving meetings.
