We are looking for a Dari & Pashto speaking loan assistant to join our team and contribute to our mission. The loan officer assistant will be responsible for supporting the loan officer in the origination and processing of loans. This will include collecting and verifying customer information, preparing loan documents, and coordinating with other departments to ensure a smooth loan process. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

 

Duties & Responsibilities
 
·         Serve as the primary point of contact for loan applicants, providing them with information about loan products, eligibility requirements, and application processes

 ·         Gather and review required documentation from loan applicants, including tax returns, pay stubs, bank statements, and credit reports
 
·         Perform initial analysis of loan applications to determine if applicants meet minimum qualifications

 ·         Forward complete loan applications to loan officers for further review and approval
 
·         Communicate loan decisions to applicants in a timely and professional manner 

 ·         Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all loan products offered by the bank

 ·         Assist loan officers with preparing loan documents for closing

 ·         Attend loan closings to ensure that all documents are signed and notarized correctly
 
·         Follow up with loan officers and applicants after loan closing to ensure that all post-closing conditions have been me
 
·         Monitor loans throughout the life of the loan to ensure timely payment of principal and interest

 ·         Work with delinquent borrowers to develop repayment plans
 
·         Coordinate with other departments within the bank to resolve any issues that may arise during the loan process

 

Required Skills and Qualifications

·         Trilingual (English/Dari/Pashto)

·         High school diploma or equivalent

·         1-2 years of customer service experience, preferably in a financial institution

·         Basic math skills


  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with aptitude to learn new software and systems

 

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Some college coursework completed
  • 1-2 years of experience in the loan processing or mortgage industry
  • Experience with Encompass or other loan origination software
  • NMLS license
