We are looking for a data enthusiast who loves to compile audience numbers and analyze our outreach based on segmentation and results.

What You’ll Do

  • Support and assist in marketing operations as a “data analyst associate” for special editorial projects, from note-taking during brainstorming sessions to overseeing execution of tactics, and working with project stakeholders to support key objectives, success criteria, and KPIs for measurement
  • Support in execution of key projects on the Consumer Marketing roadmap by collaborating with cross-functional teams, maintaining seamless communication, and following the proper processes
  • Execute and manage Marketing Operations tickets for campaigns, including managing deadlines, and trafficking assets to respective stakeholders
  • Support in any QA opportunities, such as reviewing test email sends or on-site sales
  • Support in Data Analyst responsibilities, with oversight from our Senior Data Analyst

Who We’re Looking For

  • Ideally will have a basic understanding of Marketing, especially in the digital field: strategy, tactics, media mix, etc.
  • Have an interest in audience data and segments, database management, and data validation
  • Ideally will have a basic understanding of HTML/CSS and SQL/Python
  • Be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and juggling multiple projects at one time
  • Maintain a collaborative work atmosphere by communicating effectively with management and peers
  • Be comfortable finding, interpreting, and applying reliable data to answer questions, identify gaps and opportunities, and ultimately achieve business goals

The Philadelphia Inquirer is committed to attracting a diverse group of interested people to join our team, so please err on the side of applying even if you’re unsure if you meet all the qualifications. We encourage anyone to apply who shares our passion for indispensable journalism and our drive to create a sustainable business model to support it.

As an equal opportunity employer, The Inquirer is building an inclusive and equitable workplace where everyone feels a sense of belonging. We especially encourage people from marginalized and underrepresented backgrounds to apply, including people of color, women, people from the LGBTQIA+ community, and people with disabilities.
