The role of the Loan Support Supervisor is to provide training, broad oversight and accountability to all Loan Support and DMV employees as well as supervising day-to-day loan preparation, Quality Control, DMV processing, and closing functions for all consumer loans. This role is responsible for monitoring proper lien perfection for all titled collateral, overseeing the consumer loan pipelines, and supervising the workflow from approval to closing. The Loan Support Supervisor ensures compliance with regulatory and company policies and procedures. Consumer lending is a vital source of revenue for the Credit Union and as such, the Loan Support Supervisor must ensure that the department provides an accurate, timely, and positive loan experience to assist in meeting current and future loan goals.    

A Day in the Life of a Loan Support Supervisor INCLUDE:

  • Assisting the manager in developing strong, well-rounded employees and ensuring the quality of servicing members is received.
  • Ensuring the accuracy of loan processing and closing, adherence to the documentation process, and staff training.
  • Monitoring daily lending reports as requested and provide regular feedback on consumer lending department productivity and pertinent issues.
  • Managing the loan exceptions identified through the Quality Control process, protecting the credit union from unperfected documentation, and fostering goodwill with members.
  • Maintaining thorough understanding and strong knowledge of all Credit Union products, product parameters, current loan promotions, services, procedures and compliance regulations.
  • Continuously looking to improve the process and turn time; resulting in a seamless delivery for lien perfections and loan proceeds to members.

 

Loan Support Supervisor Skills and qualifications include:

  • A 2-year college degree in Business Administration or a related field.
    • Additional experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • 4 years of experience in consumer lending to include loan processing, loan documentation, lien perfection, and DMV/title processing.
    • Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Excellent oral, written, and telephone communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as actively participate in team meetings and events.
  • Knowledge of state and federal laws governing consumer lending.
  •  Strong knowledge of MS Office products.

  • Work Schedule
    • Monday – Friday
      • 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
        • May be required to work a rotational schedule until 5:30 pm.
  • Travel
    • Travel is rarely necessary for this position.
  • Work Site Location
    • All work will be performed at our beautiful Corporate Campus located at 2675 O’Neal Lane in Baton Rouge, LA 70816.
