Responsibilities include:

  • The primary responsibility of this position is to schedule machines and temporary staffing for two shift operation at two fulfillment locations.
  • Additional responsibilities include duties of a planner, which include follow-up and ability to troubleshoot unexpected problems, by coordinating efforts among all related departments and to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
  • This position will also act as the liaison between the Sales, Customers, Customer Service, Design, Production, Receiving, and shipping functions, is directly responsible for order entry, production expediting, customer reporting, and delivery schedules.
  • Review time studies or historical data to advise line shift requirements for scheduling
  • Review capacity concerns when orders are received; including appropriate machinery is available
  • Schedule machines in Smartplan
  • Coordinate with Temporary Staffing Agency in AFC & HFC based on current workload
  • Work closely with production to evaluate set up problems and review production lines
  • Review Production Efficiency Reports to update schedule accordingly.
  • Coordinates jobs with all planners for AFC & HFC
  • Coordinates customer requirements to include: order entry, shipping, production scheduling, and customer reporting.
  • Manages reconciliation of orders and inventory disposition for all projects.
  • Maintains constant communication internally & externally with all involved parties
  • Displays basic understanding of plant processes/product flow and impact on customer requests
  • Manages an average workload for the department, including several high maintenance accounts
  • Assists other team members toward success in a team environment, ensuring proper service to customers at all times.
  • Utilizes IT systems proficiently as well as office productivity software.
  • Coordinate with POP transportation and Manufacturing Scheduling group to ensure required components are manufactured.
  • Accurate handling and control of orders to include critical facility and cross-divisional accounts.
  • Effective communication with multiple functions to assist in achieving team and facility goals & objectives.
  • Generally considered a principal customer contact.
  • Focus on servicing internal and external customers.
  • Contributes input on education and development of new team members.
  • During peak season, must be available to work overtime hours, as needed.
  • Must be willing, at time of peak need, to help on the production lines.

Basic Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 1 year experience in Scheduling/Planning or related field, or relevant experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite required

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience in Fulfillment facility
  • BA/BS or equivalent preferred

  • Able to work independently, make sound decisions, set priorities, and delegate tasks, as needed.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Must be capable of working with ambiguity and change.
