Adventureland Park - General Maintenance II (MA076) - 520
Overview
The General Maintenance Team Member provides support to the Projects and Construction Director to ensure a successful operation. This position is guest focused and has consistent interaction with all team members in order to complete tasks in a timely manner.
Qualifications
·
Prior hotel, building, ground, or apartment
maintenance experience is desirable, but not required
· General knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building construction
· Knowledge of common power and hand tools
· Ability to perform task-oriented repetitive functions consistently, on-time, and error free
· Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices
· Ability to follow instructions
· Demonstrate a team player attitude
· Ability to be patient and creatively problem solve
· Follow instructions of daily projects and procedures
Essential Job Functions
· Performs preventative maintenance such as painting, battery replacement, smoke detector checks, HVAC Cleaning, door/ lock repair, plumbing, cleaning, painting, drywall repair, basic carpentry, electrical repairs, and various other issues that arise
· Uses common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches
· Cleans and assists in the upkeep of facilities
· Conducts routine inspections of premises and equipment
· Diagnosing mechanical issues and correcting them
· Replaces defective parts when necessary
· Promptly responds to reports of problems and concerns
· Assists all guests in a courteous manner
· Assists in maintaining the pools, spa, and general area of the property according to local codes
· Maintains the grounds in a neat, clean, safe, and attractive manner
· Performs repairs following established safety standards and wearing necessary safety equipment
· Keeps Projects and Construction Director fully informed of all problems for timely and corrective action
Secondary Job Functions
· Aids all other team members
· Maintains all storage areas, shops, and mechanical areas in a clean, safe, organized, and secure manner
· Additional duties as assigned by Projects and Construction Director or General Manager
· Safely operates company owned trucks, forklifts, and other equipment
Heavy physical workload and excessive bodily motions include but are not limited to:
Physical Requirements
· Constant repetitive motion
· Continually able to lift, push, pull and carry up to a 100lbs and on occasion more than 100 lbs.
· Constantly be able to stand and walk for long periods of time
· Frequent kneeling, bending, twisting motions
· Often squatting and crouching
· Sporadically able to work in confined spaces
· Consistently use hands to grasp, control, move objects/tools
· See differences between colors and brightness
· See details of objects that are more than a few feet away
This position has exposure to environmental factors that include but are not limited to:

· Able to tolerate exposure to dust and cleaning chemicals
· Able to tolerate heat and humidity
· Sporadically work in all areas of the property including working outside
· Is subject to frequent interruptions and may need to reprioritize activities
· Subject to working on scaffolds and ladders
· Subject to the handling of and exposure to chemicals, detergents, and cleaners
· Is subject to exposure to bloodborne pathogens
· Regularly work with motorized equipment, vehicles, and machinery
· Consistent communication with other departments
