Summary
The Pool Maintenance Technician is responsible for pool maintenance duties related to the proper operation of municipal swimming pools, water/spray parks, hot tubs, fountains, and associated structures at multiple locations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains pools, equipment, and related structures
• Performs maintenance on diving boards, pool slides, benches, tables, guard stands, lighting systems, support structures, and restrooms
• Maintains water filtration and treatment systems for pools, spa, and splash pad
• Prices & orders materials needed for maintenance or repairs in accordance with purchasing policy
• Completes and submits required paperwork
• Tests chemical levels of water and adjust as necessary
• Assists with preparation of special events to include the set-up, staging, and clean-up
• Ensures City financial policies, procedures, and safety guidelines followed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year experience in maintenance or operating related equipment

Preferred Qualifications

• One (1 ) year experience in pool maintenance
• Customer service experience
• Basic computer skills, including MS Office suite

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• Valid driver’s license
• CPO or AFO certification or ability to obtain within introductory period
