Pediatrics-LPN/MA-FT
Job Title: Office Nurse
Objective: Primary objective is to provide nursing support within the Department or Clinic-wide when requested, follow instruction of physician/provider, adhere to all policies and procedures of Murfreesboro Medical Clinic and meet the needs of our patients in a teamwork approach.
Essential Functions
v Maintain patient morale.
v Answer patient’s questions.
v Keep workspace and exam rooms clean.
v Meet or exceed patient, doctor/provider
and staff expectations through a cooperative, teamwork approach.
v Set up and equip procedure and exam
rooms, assist doctor/provider in office procedures and exams.
v Sterilize and clean equipment after
using.
v Utilize computer to schedule
appointments and procedures.
v Schedule procedures, explain procedures
and prep to patients.
v Notify patients of test results as
directed by doctor/provider and chart all contacts.
v Administer injections, maintain and
disperse drugs from supply closet.
v Chart all communications with patients,
call prescriptions to pharmacy as directed by doctor/provider, file labwork,
radiology reports and other documents in patient chart.
v Be knowledgeable of and adhere to all
OSHA guidelines.
v Be knowledgeable of and adhere to all
MMC policies and procedures.
Education & Experience MA/LPN/CNA required.

Environmental/ Working Conditions
Combination of office, exam and other clinical settings. Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, bodily fluids and other conditions common to nursing situations.
Physical / Mental Demands
Varied activities including sitting, walking, bending, reaching, lifting and stooping.
Occasional stresses from multiple patient care responsibilities.

All
representatives of the Pediatrics Department are expected to 1) promote an
image of professionalism, 2) perform all duties asked of them in a timely and
efficient manner, and 3) focus primarily on providing excellent customer
service.
