Postdoctoral Fellow (Weiskopf)
A Postdoctoral Fellowship position is available immediately at the La Jolla Institute for Immunology in the lab of Dr. Daniela Weiskopf, who is interested in understanding human T cell reactivity against emerging infectious viruses after natural infection and vaccination.
Successful candidates will join an interdisciplinary group of researchers with a strong sense of collaboration dedicated to the identification and characterization of T cell responses against a variety of viruses such as SARS-CoV-2 or mosquito borne viruses such as zika-, dengue- and chikungunya viruses.

Our research is studying blood samples (PBMC) from individuals previously exposed to the viral infections, or who have been vaccinated against viral disease.
Methods frequently used in this research include isolating and culturing different primary cells of the immune system as well as FluoroSPOT and Flow Cytometry.
