Job Summary

The Sharma Lab at La Jolla Institute for Immunology in La Jolla, San Diego is seeking a postdoctoral fellow to study rare immune diseases.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Work in our lab focuses on applying fundamental immunology and molecular biology techniques e.g. flow cytometry, transcriptomics and proteomics/biochemistry to validate new metabolic targets for cancer immunotherapy. Work focuses on studying human bio-samples and murine models of rare diseases with immune or inflammatory pathology. The ultimate goal of our research is to characterize new in vivo mouse models of rare immune diseases.

 

Leveling Requirements

Candidates must have:

  • PhD or MD/PhD
  • Expertise in fundamental immunology.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and collaborative abilities, as we work with collaborators at UCSD and other national and international institutes.

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience and interest in fundamental immunology, molecular biology, transcriptomics, and data analysis
