Grow ad sales revenue and exceed revenue goals by prospecting and closing new business. Partner with sales leader to identify inactive business and develop strategies to reactivate. Conduct deep-dive Client Impact Assessments, utilizing pre-call research. Manage a sales pipeline and develop a strategy for long-term sustained success. Use in house platforms to develop results-based solutions. Present and close those solutions with the help of well-crafted media proposals. Fully understand client expectations, and work with client success team and other internal stakeholders to ensure client goals/expectations are met. Upsell existing customers based on need and opportunity. Make recommendations to the campaign based on client CNA and desired outcomes.   Key Competencies: High level of accountability to sales metrics + performance and adoption expectations in our sales platforms. The Citizen is looking for a news reporter to work with its award-winning staff in Auburn. Located in Auburn, The Citizen is a newspaper covering the Cayuga County area. We print three times a week, but our first priority is producing stories and multimedia for our website, auburnpub.com. Along with Auburn we cover all the towns and villages of Cayuga County, which lies between Syracuse, Rochester and Ithaca. We also cover some towns and villages immediately outside the county, such as the lakeside village of Skaneateles. Our ideal candidate will bring some storytelling experience and enthusiasm for small-town journalism to The Citizen. Applicable skills include news writing, interviewing, copy editing, taking photos and video, and familiarity with social media. The candidate will have the option to work remotely or at our office in Auburn. JOB PURPOSE: To motivate and train carrier force to provide good service while increasing circulation and attaining collection goals. Assist in maintaining overall distribution center operations. Candidate should be free of leg and back medical conditions. Must be able to lift 40 lbs., Must be able to bend and stoop to lift bundles. Must be able to push and pull carts of papers that could weigh over 1,000 lbs. Must be able to walk with 30 lbs. in each hand to move bundles of papers. Must be able to assist with the unloading of trucks with up to 4,000 bundles of papers daily or as needed. Must be able to handle delivery of open routes, getting in and out of the car, walking, handling steps and maneuver on average 3 to 4 flights of steps while delivering apartment complexes. Normal RTD route delivery is 2-3 hours, TMC/Sunday Direct normal route delivery is 4 to 5 hours.District Supervisor may be required to enter and exit a vehicle 200 - 300 times per day. Should be able to stand in the warehouse on concrete floors for 2 to 3 hours at a time. Should have no trouble reading list of addresses, numbers and following a map. Sports Reporter-Rapid City, SD   The Rapid City Journal, South Dakota’s largest newspaper, is looking for a curious, dogged multimedia sports reporter to join our collaborative team in a competitive media market.   The sports beat in Rapid City includes coverage of high school sports fall through spring in Rapid City, a metro of about 150,000 people with three public schools and two private schools, along with other schools in the Black Hills area. The sports department also covers American Legion baseball during the summer and a handful of rodeos throughout the year.   The position is part of an upbeat, collaborative newsroom and offers the opportunity to produce content for print and online on a wide variety of topics at a paper that values enterprise and watchdog reporting as well as narrative storytelling.
