QA Engineer

Lee Enterprises is looking for a full-stack QA engineer with a deep understanding of manual, API, and automated agile testing in the SDLC. This position involves working with a group of talented engineers to build front-end applications utilizing cloud back-end services and other modern technologies. You will create, execute, and maintain manual, mobile and web automated tests in an agile environment. 

Skills Needed/ Basic Qualifications: 

• 2 + years of automating native mobile applications and mobile browser applications (JavaScript preferred). This is a must-have experience. 
• 2 + years of working knowledge with Appium. 
• 5 + years of Selenium or Cypress or WebDriver IO experience with web automation. 
• 5 + years of scripting experience with JavaScript or Python or another object-oriented program. 
• 5 + years of working knowledge of UI Automation testing and API testing. 
• Hands-on experience building automation frameworks from scratch. 
• Experience building automation deployment pipelines in AWS or Azure Devops (nice to have) 

Job responsibilities: 

You will, 

• be required to test stories/bugs and then incrementally build automated functional/regression tests. 
• be responsible for developing and executing test plans and supporting production releases. 
• build mobile automated tests from scratch using JavaScript/Appium 
• build UI automation tests from scratch (selenium or similar) 
• be able to test API manually or with automated calls. 
• collaborate with Developers, product owners, and other SDETs to strategize and execute test plans. 
• be an advocate for software quality throughout all phases of development. 
• effectively communicate test status and progress to all stakeholders. You will find, document, and track bugs on a need basis. 
• be responsible for all types of software testing in a scrum team.

Pay: $115,000- $125,000
