Title: Supervisor, Carrier Qualifications
Monday - Friday 8am-5pm 


Supervises day-to-day responsibilities, providing guidance and training to a group of para professional level staff to ensure complex operations are carried out in a productive manner. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge

of processes supervised.


•Organize workflow in area and ensure individual contributors understand duties and delegated tasks

•Monitor productivity and ensure work is completed to meet required standards

•Provide guidance and coaching to individual contributors on day to day issues

•Provide resolution for escalated customer issues

•Set work schedules, approve weekly timecards, and time off requests

•Responsible for hiring and proper training of direct reports

•Responsible for performance management, including annual reviews, goal setting and on-going feedback

•Ensures employees follow Landstar policies and procedures

•Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university, preferred

•Minimum Experience: Eight+ years related experience, preferred


•Apply Landstar guidelines for qualifying capacity into departmental processes based on the FMCSA regulations

•Working with confidential & sensitive information with discretion

•Working directly as a liaison to the Qualification Centers, Current & Potential Capacity, Landstar agents and Qualification Coordinators

•Working directly with other departments that coincides with the qualification of capacity

•Review any exceptions requests for consideration of capacity

•Monitor workflow of email and telephone inquiries as well as the qualification of individual capacity handled by the Qualification Coordinators

for accuracy & customer service excellence

•Oversee new employee training, staff cross-training and skill development

•Support development and implementation of department process efficiencies

•Oversee, produce and prepare daily/weekly departmental reports

•Monitor time sheets and time off requests of Qualifications Coordinators

•Monitor and report established KPI’s & individual goals of Qualification Coordinators

•Prepare and discuss performance reviews for Qualifications Coordinators

•Other duties may be assigned
