Product Manager - Ops Solutions- 395
*THIS IS A 100 PERCENT IN OFFICE ROLE IN ROCKFORD OR JACKSONVILLE*
The Product Manager is the primary liaison between Landstar’s business end user & IT communities, ensuring system applications are operating at maximum efficiency while effectively supporting business processes. The ideal candidate for this role would demonstrate strong interpersonal communications skills, problem solving capabilities, highly organized, focused on time management as well as technically proficient and capable of extensive data-entry. This role will focus on on-going product management through feature prioritization, testing and promotion of proprietary & third party system applications as well as project development.
Essential Responsibilities include the following:
- Act as subject matter expert within Operations to ensure product supports business needs
- Manage backlog and feedback for assigned products and projects
- Assist with acceptance criteria for projects
- Complete user acceptance testing and regression testing for projects and products
- Present demonstrations and provide training for projects and products
- Maintain communication with internal and external customers, to solicit feedback and vet future enhancement needs
- Attend and actively participate in all assigned project teams and/or meetings
- Assist in the development/training of intra & interdepartmental employees
- Assist with development, testing, and implementation of all systems and enhancements
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders to identify and organize the steps required for future iterations
- Provide end user training on operations system applications, as needed

Education and/or Experience
Minimum Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Minimum Experience: 1 year related experience, required
Years’ Experience for full proficiency in role: 1 year
Associate's degree in Logistics or related field, preferred
Previous Logistics transportation experience, preferred
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
Ability to read, write and speak English.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Ability to compute ratio, rate and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
