FLEET MANAGER

Come join an organization where you can make a difference!  At Kualoa Ranch Hawaii, we are passionate about enriching people’s lives by preserving our land and celebrating its history.  Since the 1980’s we have been providing epic tours on one of the most beautiful places in Hawai’i.  We are currently seeking a Fleet Manager to join us. The Fleet Manager will be responsible for overall shop and fleet management of our 200+ vehicles.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and provide leadership to build and maintain a strong team through effective communications, recruiting, training, coaching, counseling, appraising and rewarding.
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
• Manage vehicle performance and activities.
• Direct and schedule mechanic’s work.
• Plan, assign, and distribute work to achieve maximum utilization of the fleet.
• Manage work assignments. Develop daily plans utilizing equipment, manpower and other resources to ensure an effective, efficient operation.
• Manage all parts and inventory for Fleet vehicles
• Perform additional administrative functions to include payroll, billing, post-accident reviews.
• Ensure compliance with D.O.T., OSHA, EPA, and all federal and state regulations, as well as company rules and policies. Monitor, train and promote safety in all areas of operations.

Requirements:

• Any combination of experience or education equivalent to three years technical level experience that supports the knowledge and skill requirements listed
• 3-5 years of recent supervisory experience in transportation or similar industry/work environment; supervising and leading a transportation team consisting of mechanics and office staff.
• Demonstrated experience leading, directing, communicating change and developing a team strongly desired.
• Experience conducting business using multiple software systems and processes.
• Strong skill base and comfort with technology including Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, fleet management software and inventory control systems.
