KI, a world class supplier of innovative and award-winning furniture solutions for business, educational, and healthcare environments, is seeking a full-time Senior Manufacturing Engineer in our Bonduel Manufacturing Facility.

Job Duties:

The position will plan, formulate, administer and coordinate various long- and short-term engineering projects that will be designed to improve the quality and performance of product. They will also reduce cost, waste and delays in the operation. The position will evaluate, develop, and recommend improvements in manufacturing equipment, layouts, and material handling processes and equipment. The position will evaluate, develop, and oversee production of new and non-standard High Pressure Laminate (HPL) products. This position is also responsible for all new HPL product activities, HPL labor, material, and COQ reduction efforts.

In addition, job duties will include:

  • Continuous process improvement activities.

  • Implement new products and processes.

  • Supervise/assist in development of non-standard products.

  • Evaluate new and existing processes and equipment.

  • Collaborate with Automation team on new processes

  • Design and develop manufacturing processes and equipment to support new or modified products.

  • Work with Sales Operations to resolve field install or quality issues.

  • Provide Customer Service and Sales support for standard and custom product inquiries.
  • Respond to and correct production problems as they arise
  • Provide the Maintenance and Tool and Die area with design support as needed

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field

  • Three to five years of directly related experience in a fabrication/assembly manufacturing environment.

  • Experience with BPCS or MRPII manufacturing system.

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement principles.
