KHS reasonably expects to pay starting compensation for the full time position of Community Support Services Operational Analyst, in the range of $30.20 - $40.05 hourly.

Position Summary

This position is responsible for providing operational department support for temporary or long-term processes, projects, or assignments as it relates to an assigned operational discipline for a functional department as solicited.  The Operational Analyst resource will provide limited information with light data query and self-service reporting tools; dynamic assignments based on the department’s operational needs; temporary assignments for annual corporate projects; or long-term assignments for functional and operational processes needed to support the Department within the organization.  The Operational Analyst is responsible for gaining departmental systems expertise through hands on experience and training within the department’s operations.  The position plays a central role in addressing various needs of the assigned operational business unit, leveraging data analytics, with the ability to facilitate or govern operational discussions internally and externally to the department.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

General

 

  • Participate and contribute in the Agile and Project Management methodologies through planning to execution (i.e. requirements gathering; decomposition, development, etc.) in support of department or corporate projects.

 

  • Capable of learning and understanding business software systems and manual processes in order to identify efficiencies for better performance and more accurate information.

 

  • Ability to learn/be mentored from peer and senior roles not limited to but including operational process analysis; core and peripheral technologies and systems; presentations, etc.

 

  • Commitment and affinity for delivering the highest level of customer service to internal and external customers.

 

  • Be an organized individual that is willing to accept responsibility, demonstrate good judgment, initiative, and resourcefulness, and is able to adapt and learn quickly. 

 

  • Perform routine or operational processes or procedures in support the department’s operational mission to the organization.

 

  • Monitor, evaluate, and coordinate data exchange requirements between KHS and ECM Providers

 

Technical

 

  • Advance Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) skills with experience creating presentations, templates, charts, pivot tables, formulas and calculations.

 

  • Create simple Structured Query Language (SQL) statements in defined data structures for department specific analytics.

 

  • Ability to learn the organizations current data structures and data extracting tools (Business Objects) for department analytics and processing.

 

  • Capable of learning and understanding business software systems and manual processes, through formal and on the job training, to identify efficiencies and correct data inaccuracies.

 

Analysis

  • Understanding the influence of data, created or used by a department, on operations in the assigned department and the ability to document or investigate issues as to why a certain behavior or outcomes are exhibited through department’s data or reports.

 

  • Collaboratively work with department management to deconstruct high-level information into details and abstract up from the low-level information into generalized results.

 

  • Ability to analyze and answer operational questions or perform analytics in support of business processes and projects that contribute to the success of the department.

 

Communications

 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.            

 

  • Facilitate meetings or communications as an interface between business units, technology teams, and other support resources.

 

  • Create professional reports for presentation, verbally and written, to management with adherence to specifications and timelines and with thoughtful evaluation of the data.

 

Education and Experience

 

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Management, Mathematics, from an accredited school or equivalent; or related field with an academic demonstration of analytical skills required; AND two (2) years’ working experience with a Managed Care Organization (MCO) or similar type organization;

-OR-

 

Six (6) years of experience with a Managed Care Organization (MCO) or similar type organization in a business role with a minimum of two (2) years acting primarily in a business analytical capacity; OR, equivalent combination of education and business analytical experience on a year for year exchange of experience for education to be reviewed individually by Human Resources.

 

Other: Possession of valid driver’s license and proof of State required auto liability insurance.

Up to 10% driving required.
