Position Purpose

The Supply Chain Manager uses broad knowledge of business disciplines, processes and statistical methodology to meet business production goals and objectives on a daily basis.

 

Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities

·         Warehousing/storage strategy aligned to business plans

·         Freight strategy aligned to business plans

·         Warehouse (WMS), freight (TMS) and MRP systems development

·         Supply chain design including TLCM

·         International planning team management

·         4PL management from a cost and performance perspective

·         Driving value and control in the supply chain

·         CI and end to end supply chain visibility

·         Inventory management

·         Risk management and mitigation

·         Data analysis and senior communication

·         BU support and consultancy

·         Escalation & problem resolution

·         Budgeting, forecasting and cost management

 

Nature & Scope

Reports to the Operations Director

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must pass any drug screens, background checks and any pre-employments tests as applicable.
  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing or related field
  • 5+ years of experience with supply chain in a related industry
  • Experience in production control in a high volume manufacturing and assembly environment

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of supply chain experience in a supervisory role

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and SAP
  • Familiar with a variety of production control concepts, practices and procedures
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to delegate

  • Proven leadership skills (lead, motivate, process and people management skills).
  • Passion and commitment.
  • Experience in improvement processes (i.e. Six Sigma, Lean, etc.).
  • Ability to make changes happen across functions and departments.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of personnel.
  • Excellent understanding of analytical tools and proficiency in root cause analysis, probability and statistics.
  • Strong leadership abilities, including the ability to drive improvement projects throughout the organization and ensure strict adherence to policies from management to line level in the face of resistance to change
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Self-motivated and resilient, with a high energy level and strong work ethic
  • Positively lead and influence team members to partner together to achieve individual and business goals.
  • Train and provide development opportunities for staff. Ensure annual goals are complete and communicated.
  • Monitor and evaluate team members, and adjust training where needed.

  • Must wear Personal Protective Equipment as required

 

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to work flexible schedule, including but not limited to 12 hour shifts/7 days a week.
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10lbs, frequently and/or move up to 35lbs, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50lbs.
  • Must be able to perform continuous, repetitious physical activities.  These activities may involve fine movements or large motions.
  • Must be able to grasp/pinch small items, reach out and up, and turn wrist.
  • Must be capable of keeping pace with current production speed.
  • Must be able to push/pull with reasonable force.
  • Must be able to perform the following requirements of bending, stooping, climbing, kneeling, and standing for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to work in multiple climates including:  hot/cold temperatures, and dusty environment.
