ABOUT THE JOB
The Geller House is a short-term residential center that provides rapid intervention, assessments, treatment services, education, social and recreational activities for at-risk adolescents ages 11-16 years old who are struggling with family related issues, including; long-term abuse, neglect, substance abuse and mental illness.
The Geller House is currently seeking a Full Time Cook to prepare and cook meals for our residents in our Children’s Residential Group Home. The Cook will be responsible for reading and understanding measurements and cooking instruction, as well as maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen area. Additional responsibilities include but, are not limited to:
- Preparing quantity meals
- Assistance with food delivery
- Other duties as assigned
- Current, valid Food Handler’s is required
- A High School diploma/GED is preferred
- Ability to read and write and follow oral or written instructions
- At least 12-18 months of prior experience
