The Jewish Board’s Adult Residential Services division provide compassionate, high quality, evidence-based services to individuals and families in the communities we serve.  Our staff use a culturally competent, person centered approach to help individuals and their families develop skills and resources to improve overall functioning, in instill hope and to strengthen resiliency. 


Director will be responsible for the overall coordination, administration, management and leadership of Residential services. In addition, s/he must provide safe, high quality, programs and adherence to JBFCS policies and procedures. In collaboration with multidisciplinary treatment team members, the Director must ensure the integrity of treatment planning processes and maintenance of highest documentation standards as required by regulations and professional scopes of practice.


Tasks include but not limited to:

  • Has overall clinical and administrative responsibility for the program’s staff; including staff supervision, training and development
  • Assists programs in utilizing established, effective interventions to achieve defined, meaningful outcomes Ensures that the site meets appropriate safety and aesthetic standards
  • Provides leadership and vision to assist programs in achieving goals; continually improving performance and meeting challenges proactively and effectively
  • Makes certain that appropriate direct clinical supervision is provided to all clinical staff members
  • Takes the lead in recruitment, hiring, discipline, and other personnel matters with program staff
  • Actively oversees and may participate in the intake, case, group assignment and case closing processes.
  • Conducts regular apartment inspections and oversees staff in completely monthly unit walkthroughs and in documenting repair requests in Sysaid
  • Available and on-call 24/7 to assist in managing and responding to urgent situations and client crises
  • Ensures appropriate psychiatric, assessment, therapeutic and independent living disciplines are available and administered to the residents.


The Jewish Board is currently looking for talented professionals of all cultures, religions, races, and gender expressions with the following qualifications:

You should have:

  • LMSW or a Master’s degree in a closely related field will be considered, depending on range of candidate’s experience
  • Minimum of seven years of related experience, at least two of which include significant supervisory responsibilities in a residential treatment program
  • Familiarity with contract regulatory requirements
  • A high level of analytic skill in order to make policy and procedural recommendations 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as strong leadership skills.
