This position assists in resolving corporate and C-Store level issues i.e., Technical, Point of Sale, Back office, Fuel payment, and other IT related problems.  If you are seeking new opportunities in a corporate environment, the Support Center can be a pivotal role for those seeking exposure to as well as new skills and opportunities in areas such as Infrastructure, Retail Technology or Project Management. The Support Team has seen several successful career transformations from former C-Store employees who have advanced in their respective careers.  Our team is made up of people who genuinely care. What we’re looking for:

For this role we are currently looking for those who have:

  • Experience with system trouble shooting and can apply those skills to an IT hardware and software environment.
  • Previous experience in Support/Help desk or Customer Service environment (a plus!).
  • An aptitude and desire to learn new systems and technology, i.e., basic computer networking skills, building, and provisioning of PCs (hardware, operating system and software installs), setup/install printers, etc.
  • Basic to intermediate Windows operating system skills and troubleshoot basic system issues.
  • Basic application skills – knows MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.) and can perform all basic functions within these applications.
  • An organized, energetic approach with the ability to work in moderate to fast-paced environment.
  • The ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and effectively manage their time (likes the challenge of bringing order and structure to chaos).
  • A passion of working with people of all levels (technical/non-technical) in the company and patience, empathy, and the ability to maintain a calm and kind demeanor throughout the Support process.
  • Ability to effectively work in a team-oriented environment, internal IT as well as with Operations, Facilities, and other stakeholders. 
  • Desire to encourage and celebrate the success of others. Sense of humor a plus! 
  • Understanding of the value of a diverse background and embraces change to support growth and success.
  • Strong written, verbal, and phone etiquette skills.

What will I do as a Tier 1 Support Center Representative?

Here are just some of the things you will do in this role:

  • Support Retail Corporate and Store Level systems including Point of Sale (POS), Back Office systems, applications, Fuel payment, hardware, and other IT related issues.
  • Provide first level support by answering, evaluating, and prioritizing incoming telephone, voicemail, and email requests from both corporate, field personnel and stores with hardware, software, networking, and other system related problems.
  • Record reported problem or request and enter appropriate information into the Support tracking system. 
  • Follow up appropriately and take ownership of assigned incidents until final resolution.  
  • Work a flexible schedule to provide coverage for a 24/7 operation. We can accommodate some shift requests; however, applicant must be willing to work evenings and weekends when the need arises. 
  • Escalate calls as appropriate to other IT team members.
  • Other duties may be added and/or assigned as needed.
